Maglia Rosa NYC is a bespoke bicycle shop and cafe serving coffee, pastries, pies, panini, wine and beer.

We are committed to quality, precision, and consistency; whether it’s a delicious cappuccino or a custom-made bike, we approach our craft with close care and attention to detail.

The café is meant to be a space to relax and live slowly, if only for a moment.

We believe that the same benefits found in layering the right mix components on a great bike frame should be found in the café.

We’re looking to fill a part time or full time barista position at our Carroll Gardens location in Brooklyn, NY.

Requirements:

Our ideal candidate is someone who has prior barista experience, and a passion for coffee and food, and a commitment to genuine and personalized customer service.

Because of our niche concept and very residential location, we have a small but close knit community of neighborhood customers and bike lovers alike, so a natural demeanor that promotes and sustains this community is a must.

Interest in cycling is a plus but certainly not required.

Availability should include weekends and mornings.

Interested applicants must have a valid NYS Food Handlers Card.

Responsibilities of this role include:

– Provide outstanding and personal customer service

– Be punctual and ready to work

– Maintain a neat and orderly appearance in the shop, paying close attention to cleanliness of surfaces, stock levels, and inventory.

-Taste and dial in espresso machines as needed throughout the day.

-Serve delicious, expertly prepared, and consistent espresso beverages

-Prepare panini and other food items according to shop standards.

-Bestow positivity upon the shop environment!
