Plowshares Coffee is a local, quality focused coffee roaster with a busy cafe located on Manhattan’s Upper West Side just south of Colombia University and our roastery/cafe located in West Harlem on Amsterdam Avenue btw 125/126th.

We are currently seeking an experienced barista to join our team!   If you take as much pride in your craft as you do in providing exceptional customer service and hospitality to a diverse clientele, we want you to apply.   We truly look for people who are able to balance intentional customer service with consistently excellent drink preparation and bar practices. Our bar setups includes a 2 Group Slayer/Linea PB, Mythos Clima Pro and EK43 grinders and a dialed in Fetco Brewer.

We are also looking for both full time/part time baristas with the flexibility to work weekends. As we build our team post covid and expand our hours, we are especially looking for self motivated individuals desiring to advance in the organization. Applicants possessing NYC Food Handlers Certificate preferred – must complete upon hire. Very competitive hourly wage dependent upon level of experience + gratuities.   Employees over the age of 21 are eligible to participate in company sponsored 401k retirement plan with company matching dollars after one year/1,000 hours of service. Full-Time Hours range from $16-$18 an hour plus tips.
