Job Description

We are seeking baristas and cashiers to support the new Tianti Bookstore and Coffee Shop in Midtown Manhattan.

Cashiers should be able to:

• Give customers a positive experience while taking their orders
• Be a team player
• Promote the Tianti business to customers via upsale and description of the Tianti mission
• Support the bar staff in production of beverages
• always stay positive and be happy to help

Baristas should be able to:

• Produce quality espresso and tea drinks according to company recipes,
• Promote the Tianti business through excellent customer service,
• Work with the in-house kitchen to maintain a steady supply of pastries, salad, and other café food,
• Perform maintenance, cleaning and inventory as required.

NB: If you do not already have a New York City Food Handlers Certificate, you will need to get one within three months of being hired (by taking the NYC food protection course).
