Part-Time Barista
Job Description
Job Description
We are hiring baristas for our beautiful Orchard St corner home who are also comfortable serving during busy shifts and are also down to bartend!
Let’s get to know each other better. We’ll go first:
– We’re an independent, POC-owned family-run business doing an all-day restaurant-cafe-bar concept. One where you can grab your morning coffee, have a nice brunch with some friends, and follow that up with a few beers, wine, cocktails and a dinner entree to cap off your night.
– We run a tight ship and we are a very close knit family. We’re looking for people who not only love the service industry, but also have a deep passion for working with people and building relationships with clients. We want people who take pride in their work and craft within this industry.
– We offer tons of opportunities for growth, and we walk our talk: Our business is constantly growing. That means that we’re always on the lookout for the best talent to take on managerial roles and that the right people can advance quickly.
– We have a serious sweet tooth: We’re independent coffee roasters who take real pride in what they do and are obsessed with providing the best customer experience possible.
– We offer competitive hourly compensation.
What makes our Ideal team member?
– You take your coffee/work very, very personally. You have an uncompromising passion for all-things coffee and service, you can pull some mean shots and produce some mean latte art while simultaneously being a character to the clients.
– You can jump right in and make the perfect Cortado. That will likely mean that you’ve had one year (or more) experience in a specialty coffee environment, and that you can operate an autovolumentric three grouphead espresso machine like our La Marzocco in your sleep.
– You’re fun to work with and to be around. We’d be happy to wake up early in the morning to work a shift with you, and you’ll always provide our customers with a warm, friendly and welcoming experience.
– Whether it’s an espresso shot, the pastry display case or the look & feel of the store, you want everything you’re involved in to be of the highest standard. That will likely mean that you have an eye for detail, that you’re proactive, and that you’re invested in what you do.
What’s gonna win you brownie points:
– Having a New York Food Handlers’ Certificate.
– Knowing Square POS and Square for Restaurant well.
– You have server, barista, and bartending experience.
Your turn.
