Part-Time Barista (dot & line – Brooklyn)

Job Description

Be a part of beloved neighborhood staple in the Boerum Hill, Brooklyn area that is becoming a cult classic in the coffee scene. You will be working as part of a small team that is dedicated to creating a unique and unparalleled customer experience with every transaction.
Start date: Immediately
Shifts: Fridays, Saturdays, & Sundays open (7.30am) to 2 or 3pm with potential for more hours if things work out
Compensation: Hourly, $13 base pay ($20 hourly wage + tips)
We are searching for a talented barista who has the following qualities:

  • exceptionally passionate about coffee, great food and exceptional customer service
  • has experience in making superior espresso beverages
    • this includes dialing in
    • maintaining consistent espresso extraction and consistently pulling superior shots
  • experience with batch brewing (cold brew a plus)
  • warm, exceptionally friendly, trustworthy and outgoing
  • has the ability to create a warm atmosphere while maintaining professionalism with customers at all times
  • dependable
  • has the ability to multitask and create exceptional drinks under pressure in fast paced environment

Additional requirements:

  • Third wave coffee knowledge
  • Retail experience
  • Food handlers license
  • Flexible schedule
  • Latte art experience
  • Experience with POS system – we use SQUARE
  • Have great taste in music (huge plus)
