Barista

The Drop is a specialty coffee shop and roastery opening in the Financial District. With a Bellwether Roaster right in the shop, we’re trying to integrate two facets of our business as seamlessly as possible. We are looking for an experienced Barista to work alongside our management team to help create an amazing experience for our guests.

This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of the opening team at an exciting new coffee company that is sure to be an iconic coffee destination.

Baristas are the heart and soul of our company, and will be responsible for running the coffee bar to our highest standards. Baristas will be encouraged to learn about our coffee inside and out; this is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in expanding their coffee knowledge, as we will be working directly with coffee that is roasted in-house.

Responsibilities Include:
Prepare cafe beverages in accordance to The Drop’s standards
Maintain an efficient and clean espresso bar
Brew coffees and teas according to specifications
Uphold hospitality and service standards set by The Drop
Perform end of day deposits and cash drops

Requirements:
1+ years barista experience
Ability to regularly lift 50lbs
NYS Food Handler’s license
Flexible Availability
An enthusiasm for service & hospitality
A desire to learn and collaborate in a supportive environment

Compensation is hourly + tips. Full-time employees are eligible for company benefits after 90 days of work.
