Milk & Pull Coffee Roasters is looking for a shift lead to assist the Manager in overseeing cafe operations.

About Milk & Pull:
The Milk & Pull team aims to serve the Bed-Stuy & Ridgewood communities with high quality, curated specialty coffee options and a food menu filled with fresh ingredients made in-house. The Front of House and Back of House team work together to provide top tier service in inviting cafe spaces that are great for working, meeting with friends and relaxing.

This FOH Shift lead will be focused on maintaining the flow of weekend service ensuring that hospitality and quality remain at the forefront even during the busiest operating hours.
We are looking for an experienced, focused barista with a positive attitude who enjoys working on a team.

Scheduling:
This position particularly calls for weekend flexibility, being consistently available on weekends is a MUST.
Ideally, the schedule would include both weekend days with one other weekday (3 shifts a week with opportunities for a full-time leadership position)

Compensation:
$18 base pay plus credit card/cash tips (credit card tips are an additional ~10-12/hour, sometimes more)

Qualifications:
-2-3 years in a high volume, speciality coffee setting and preferrably, 1-2 years in a leadership position within a speciality coffee environment.
-Deep knowledge of dialing-in, microfoam steaming and elegant drink construction
-Previous knowledge in operating Square POS systems and working with semi-automatic espresso machines.
-Ability to multi-task, communicate clearly and prioritize tasks appropriately.
-Flexibility in scheduling. Shift leads and Manager’s work together to ensure the staff always has a leadership support on the floor. Flexibility is a must so that we can provide staff with stability and offer support when needed.
