Our coffee program begins with our roasting partners. These roasters hold customer satisfaction, cup quality, and crop freshness in the highest regard. We work with leading roasters from North America, Australia, and Europe.

For our food program, we have hand selected some of New York’s leading farmers and produce suppliers, creating a modern cafe food program to compliment the Black Fox coffee program.

The Front of House Shift Lead will supervise staff and demonstrate outstanding hospitality skills, with a focus on the execution of customer engagement, informed product knowledge and demonstrate an ability to systemize inventory and product management.

Duties and Responsibilities of Front of House Shift Lead:

• Ensure customers are warmly welcomed into our space and engaged in a sincere and friendly manner
• Translate to staff and guests a deep understanding of the rotating kitchen and coffee menus
• Demonstrate an efficient use of time
• Ensure a clean and safe work environment
• Responsible for order fulfillment and inventory management including: pastry items, paper goods and retail items
• Uphold Black Fox’s standards regarding merchandising, inventory and rotation of products
• Responsible for the opening and/or closing of the front of house and cash up at end of day

Requirements:

• Must have 1+ years experience in specialty coffee / cafe environment
• Strong hospitality focus
• Positive attitude and genuine passion for coffee and great service
• Knowledge of implementing systems into a fast paced work environment
