The Team at Nickel & Diner is looking to hire a lead barista. Our ideal candidate is a hospitality driven professional who is looking to find a home with a warm, fun, and friendly restaurant family.

You must have a passion for hospitality, great attention for detail, and a strong work ethic. You must also be a true team player, reliable, punctual, and responsible.

Responsibilities:

• Opening and closing duties for scheduled shift
• Setting up and prepping for service
• Learn all coffee and tea offerings
• Running the cafe area and making drinks for dining guests
• Maintaining inventory; ordering coffee directly from Nobletree and teas from In Pursuit of Tea
• Taking pride in the restaurant space and ensure cleanliness & safety, in compliance with all regulations

Seeking:

• Minimum 1 year experience as a barista in a major city, preferably in fine-casual or fine-dining
• Ability to problem-solve and handle pressure with grace
• Demonstrate ability to establish positive, professional relationships with owners, managers, team members, and guests
• Flexible availability, including nights and weekends
• Able to lift 30+ lbs
