We are the team members of Le Pain Quotidien and we are currently searching for a passionate, high energy Lead Barista with latte art skills to join our team. As a barista lead, you will be in charge of delivering all beverages and help us implement a brand new beverage program. Your position also includes maintenance of coffee machine, grinders, as well as quality control on beverages. We are building for our future and hope to have you join us on this journey to work in close collaboration with our training team on our new coffee & beverage program. The Lead Barista supports the management team in running an efficient, professional and safe operation following all LPQ standards and policy
Support the management team in training and developing other team members
Perform other duties as assigned
Our Baristas have full knowledge of menu items which enables them to help our guests make healthy meal choices that support their lifestyle. They properly prepare beverage selections for our retail and dining room customers and arrange takeout orders to specification

Position Requirements are:

Excellent time management skills and ability to self-direct when necessary
Able to work under pressure, be efficient and supportive at any level
Excellent communication skills in order to report to General Managers and Support Center Trainers
Must have worked with manual and automated espresso machines
Flexibility in schedule with the ability to work early mornings, weekends, and evenings
Ability to work in multiple locations
Perform other duties as assigned
Ability to work with numbers as sales transactions are entered into our Point-of-Sale (POS) system
Barista skills (pulling shots, latte art, maintenance of beverage quality and consistency)
Reliability and accountability for the role
Ability to work in a team
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 2 years of experience as Lead Barista
