Under the direction of our General Manager, the Lead Barista will oversee the day-to-day operations of our café service. Duties include bar/café operations, such as taking inventory and placing orders in a timely manner, the coordination and management of special events, and the training of baristas and cashiers. Additional responsibilities include growing and maintaining community awareness of our offerings and positive guest relationships.

We are looking for honest, hardworking, and personable team players to be a part of our establishment. Candidates must have a consistently positive demeanor and should be detail-oriented with the ability to work in both high and low volume atmospheres while maintaining a high standard of service.
This is a full-time position, and will include early mornings, weekends, and holidays. About 90% of your work week will be behind the bar serving guests and leading the shift, while the remaining 10% will be spent completing essential administrative tasks such as inventory, ordering, planning events, and occasionally recruiting and training. The ideal candidate will have the following: •Prior experience as a lead barista in a high- volume coffee shop / café. • Experience with ordering and managing inventory and costs • An upbeat and positive attitude • The ability to engage positively with customers • Supervisory skills • NYC food handlers certificate
