Hey there!

Solid State Coffee is a brand new specialty coffee roaster with a cafe located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. We are focused on sourcing, roasting and serving some of the best coffees in New York. If you’d like to be a part of the beginning stages of realizing this vision then this is the job for you.

As our lead barista (and very first employee), you would be the face of our retail operation, and responsible for upholding all quality standards in our cafe. We are looking for a candidate who is driven, attentive, communicative, intelligent, personable, and, above all, loves coffee.

Ideal candidates also possess:

2-3 years experience in specialty coffee
NYC Food Handler’s Permit
Open availability (Weekends are a must)
Latte art skills
Desire to learn as much as possible
