Full-Time Lead Barista
Job Description
Coffee Bros. is looking for a Lead Barista in NYC to join our team in the first half of 2022. We are in the process of opening our first flagship location in Manhattan and are seeking a Lead Barista to join our (two strong) team full-time.
About Coffee Bros.:
By thoughtful coffee farm selections and non-profit partnerships to help create a more sustainable world, my brother, Nick, and I have been able to offer incredibly fresh coffees while also giving back to coffee-growing communities since 2019.
Our small business is a full-spectrum roastery that transcends all taste horizons through signature light, medium, dark roast, single origins, and specialty lot profiles. Our coffees are an intricate display of taste notes, from fragrant and aromatic to the bold and rich.
We will be the first NFT funded café space through our growing NFT project called Crypto Baristas. Crypto Baristas combines the digital and physical world by raising funds for café spaces, the first one being our flagship location in NYC. The project looks to continue to expand Coffee Bros. and its presence throughout New York.

1. 10% quarterly bonus based on revenue attainment

3. $20.00 – $25.00 an hour and based on experience + shift tips
Areas of Focus:
1. Manage bar flow with target drink turnaround in under 4 minutes
2. Lead team of baristas alongside Café Manager’s expectations
3. Allocate daily roles to the barista team
4. Maintain an orderly and clean café station (per NYC DOH standards)
5. Dial-in new coffees on espresso and drip daily (per the direction of the Café Manager)
6. Assist in roast quality assessment and provide feedback to our Head Roaster
7. Flag any maintenance issues
8. Complete end of week stock-take and pass on needed inventory to the Café Manager for ordering
Qualifications Required:
1. 2 – 4 years experience in a high paced café managing baristas
2. Experience dialing in coffee and using TDS meter
3. Knowledge or experience with coffee roasting and quality control is a plus
4. Experience managing inventory and ordering
