Job Description

Paloma is seeking a highly-experienced Store Lead/Assistant Manager for a new space opening in the Nomad neighborhood of Manhattan. This person has an extensive background in high-end specialty coffee, a great attitude, experience working in a fast-paced/detail-oriented environment, takes great pride in hospitality and is able to be the benchmark and facilitator of company standards. This person also has extensive knowledge of coffee origins, processes and extraction methods, and is able to assist/train other employees in honing these skills.

Who we’re looking for:
-At least 5 years of experience in high-volume, high-quality specialty coffee
-Experience being a location lead and standard-bearer
-Experience working with multiple coffee origins, processes and roast levels
-Experience dialing-in espresso and filter for a rotating menu of coffees
-Ability to guide customers through an extensive coffee menu
-Ability to train and be a resource for new employees in growing their own technical abilities and coffee knowledge
-Work directly with management to be versed on all current and upcoming offerings
-A love of hospitality
-Eagerness to learn and help evolve our coffee program
-Must have NYC Food Handlers Certificate
-Open availability/flexibility in scheduling, must be available 5 days/week.
