Position Overview:
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Lead Barista to oversee HOM’s morning coffee operations. As the right hand to the General Manager—who primarily oversees evening operations—you’ll act as the AM shift supervisor, ensuring smooth daily service, maintaining inventory, training new baristas, and upholding HOM’s standards.

Key Responsibilities:
– Lead the morning shift and ensure a smooth daily coffee operation
– Supervise and support the AM barista team with scheduling, task delegation, and on-the-floor guidance
– Maintain inventory levels, place orders as needed, and manage deliveries
– Ensure quality control in coffee preparation and customer service
– Train and onboard new AM team members
– Open the store and ensure setup is completed on time
– Communicate shift updates, supply issues, or customer concerns to the GM
– Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health codes
– Act as the point person in the GM’s absence for all AM-related matters

Requirements:
– 2+ years experience as a barista, with at least 1 year in a leadership role
– Strong understanding of coffee brewing techniques and equipment
– Highly organized with excellent time management
– Comfortable taking initiative and making decisions when needed
– Strong interpersonal and communication skills
– Ability to lift 30 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods
