LEAD BARISTA

As our Lead Barista, you will play an important leadership role in daily café operations while helping maintain the high standards and welcoming atmosphere that define Cafe Ambrosia New York.

What We’re Looking For

• Ability to follow café policies and procedures precisely — reliability and consistency are extremely important.
• Strong latte art skills.
• Clean, organized, and detail-oriented, especially during closing shifts.
• Punctual, dependable, and professional.
• Positive attitude with strong leadership qualities.
• NYC Food Protection Certificate

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily café operations and ensure beverages are prepared to our standards.
• Train and mentor baristas in coffee preparation, customer service, and café procedures.
• Maintain coffee quality, consistency, and presentation standards.
• Manage inventory, including ordering and receiving supplies.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the café and equipment.
• Create a positive and welcoming environment for customers and staff.
• Handle customer concerns professionally and efficiently.
• Collaborate with management on seasonal drinks, specials, and promotions.
Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of barista experience required.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of espresso preparation, brewing methods, and coffee origins.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of café equipment maintenance.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.

PART-TIME BARISTA

Cafe Ambrosia New York is also hiring Part-Time Baristas who are enthusiastic about coffee, hospitality, and teamwork.
What We’re Looking For
• Ability to follow café policies and procedures carefully.
• Latte art experience required.
• Cleanliness and strong closing habits.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional.
• Eagerness to learn, improve, and grow with the team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and espresso beverages.
• Deliver excellent customer service in a warm and welcoming environment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, workstations, and equipment.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Handle cash and process transactions accurately.
• Assist with stocking and inventory when needed.
