Lead Barista Job Position

Job Description:

Our Lead Barista will have extensive espresso/coffee knowledge including understanding the art and science behind pulling a “perfect” shot, “dialing” in, different brewing methods, and quality control of the drinks according to our guidelines. We will be offering the finest coffee by Four Barrel Coffee Roasters based out of San Francisco, right here in Hell’s Kitchen. Our Lead Barista will be responsible for rotating and purchasing coffee and espresso beans accordingly as well as retail items for our guests. We encourage pleasant conversation with the residents of the building to build strong repertoire and extend an amenity to the residents.

Requirements:

  • Must have at least 3 years of experience in a third wave-esque coffee shop
  • Purchasing experience for a retail coffee shop
  • Managing skills to oversee at least 6 baristas
  • Exceptional hospitality and communication skills
  • Friendly “yes” attitude and strong work ethic
  • NYC Food Handler’s License is preferred.
  • Attention to detail and to cleanliness of the bar
  • Extensive latte art craftsmanship
  • Master of all brewing methods (V-60, Chemex, Aeropress, Cold brew)

 

Barista Position

Job Description:

We will be offering the finest coffee by Four Barrel Coffee Roasters based out of San Francisco, right here in Hell’s Kitchen. Our Barista will be responsible for serving and creating their masterpiece coffee and espresso creations. We encourage pleasant conversation with the residents of the building to build strong repertoire and to extend as an amenity to the residents in the neighborhood.

  • Must have at least 1 year of experience in a third wave-esque coffee shop
  • Exceptional hospitality and communication skills
  • Friendly “yes” attitude and strong work ethic
  • NYC Food Handler’s License is preferred.
  • Attention to detail and to cleanliness of the bar
  • Ability to conduct one form of latte art
