Crop to Cup Coffee Importers seeks an energetic and detail oriented individual to join its logistics team in its Brooklyn, NY office.

Our new colleague will be involved in both “inbound” and “outbound” logistics. Daily outbound tasks include inventory management and coordination of shipments to customers and high quality customer service. Inbound tasks include some levels of supplier management (coffee exporters around the world) and monitoring of incoming cargo as it is imported and received into our coffee warehouses across the US and Canada.

Responsibilities Include

– Order Processing (prepare warehouse instructions, shipping documents, order tracking, contact customers & team members as needed)
– Maintain internal inventory database, and reconcile with partners as needed
– Manage customer communication around contracts
– Respond to emails and answer phone (work cell phone provided) for inquiries, customer questions, and internal team discussions
– Communicate with coffee exporters to collect and maintain complete product information, track inbound shipments and manage product certification documents.
– Occasional support to other colleagues in the Brooklyn office, quality control lab and warehouse (for both Crop to Cup and Showroom Coffee)

The ideal candidate must be flexible. Logistics with warehouses and truckers across the country will throw time-sensitive problems and challenges at the employee on a near daily basis, and employee must be able to respond quickly and build custom solutions with our partners.

The candidate should be highly capable working on computers, with the ability to move quickly in browsers, inventory programs, accounting programs, complex spreadsheets, etc. Experience in general billing, logistics and business-to-business customer service is a plus, but not required. A college degree and/or other applicable training certificates are a plus.

Due to the position’s need for customer service via email, candidate must possess strong skills in grammar and general writing, and be a fast typer.
The position is full-time salaried, generally 9-5 each weekday (exact hours somewhat flexible, and occasional work from home is permitted). Busy days may require late finish to the day or early start to the day to complete workload.

As time permits, proffessional development or personal opportunities may include cupping in our lab, sample roasting and other activities related to green coffee sourcing.

Additional Benefits: This role is eligible for our annual bonus program based on performance, and we also offer participation in a QSEHRA health-insurance reimbursement program for the employee. Unfortunately at this time we do not offer family health insurance.

Salary will be determined by the candidate’s qualifications and resume.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $50,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year, plus bonus and QSEHRA

Benefits:

Schedule:
8 hour shift, Monday to Friday
