Job Offer- Coffee Shop Manager and Business Assistant

 Compensation:

 Employee will receive a monthly salary of $1,000 paid in even parts on the 1st and 15th of each month.  Employee will also take home all tips on days worked.  A monthly bonus will be paid on the 10th of each month equal to 10% of profits.  The percentage of profits paid will be adjusted to accurately reflect the employee’s contribution to the company, reviewed every 3 months.

 Work Hours:

 Employee will need to be at the coffee shop from 8am-4pm Wednesday through Saturday, 10am-2pm Sunday.

 General Job Description:

 Candidate will be in charge of running a cash register and serving coffee on a pour-over  bar.  A friendly and welcoming attitude is essential.  Candidate will also create online advertisements and accept incoming phone inquiries, take down essential information, and pass information along to the owner promptly.

Job includes attending coffee training courses, using basic internet and computer skills, extensive on-the-job training, and assisting the owner in any other aspect of the business required. 

Candidate should also have a strong interest in coffee and in learning what makes a coffee program top-notch.  Excellent organizational skills, a can-do attitude when presented with new challenges, and a willingness to give 110% to see the job done right are essential qualities.  Applicant must also have a willingness to constantly train and better themselves in all aspects related to the job, with a strong desire to work for performance-based bonuses.

 Candidate is expected to possess or develop the following skills for proper job performance.

 Requisite Skills: 

-Excellent customer service skills

-basic coffee service skills

-Basic phone, internet, and computer skills

-ability to follow detailed instructions and task checklists with accuracy

 Educational and Professional Credentials:

 -Food Protection Certificate (paid for by company)

-High School graduate, College education preferred

-Work experience running a register and handling customers

-coffee experience desirable

-sensory evaluation skills desirable

-advertising and marketing education desirable

 All candidates should have an entrepreneurial spirit and be interested in working closely with the owner in all aspects of business development.  This is a starting position with basic pay, with the opportunity for very substantial growth in a new and dynamic business.
