Job Description

Nobletree Coffee currently operates 2 coffee farms in Brazil, a roastery in Red Hook, Brooklyn and plans to open 2 retail locations in Manhattan in 2016. We are looking for a production/roasting assistant to help with our growing production and delivery needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Label and date coffee packaging for daily orders
• Weigh, pack, seal and prepare coffee to be shipped and/or delivered
• Weigh and prep green coffee as required by Lead Roaster for daily production
• Receive warehouse deliveries of green coffee and production materials
• Cold Brew preparation, brewing and equipment maintenance
• General sweeping, organizing and upkeep of production room floor
• Retail deliveries and shipping to wholesale accounts
• Participation in team coffee cuppings and educational exercises

Qualifications

• Enthusiasm for coffee and a desire to learn more
• Organizational and problem solving skills
• Good communication skills
• Basic Microsoft Office and computer skills
• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift 50lbs without assistance
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat and get on hands and knees under counters
• Drive up to six hours a day average
• Walk up and down stairs carrying 30lbs regularly
• Push and pull heavy pallets with a pallet jack regularly
• Ability to step in and out of a van regularly
• Ability to climb ladders or step stools regularly
