Job Description

We are looking for a friendly Production Manager to manage the staff and operations of our warehouse for our closing shifts.
 
Working with the roasting and operations team the role of Production Manager is to ensure the smooth running of the warehouse and the bagging and shipping of fresh coffee.  You will lead the evening warehouse team in bagging, labeling and preparing coffee for shipping and driver delivery.
 
Our ideal is someone friendly and organized who cares about what they are doing and who has prior manager or supervisor experience in a warehouse.   Our warehouse is a fun working environment and we’re looking for a like-minded person who loves coffee to be part of our team.  
 
Responsibilities include:
 
  • Oversee quality assurance of production
  • Monitor production team and their schedules
  • Work with the production team packaging coffee and goods
  • Create driver routes (with Operations Manager)
  • Oversee vehicle maintenance and warehouse cleanliness
  • Working with Roasters on roast to order schedules
  • General inventory and ordering
  • You must be able to lift 60lbs  (150lbs assisted coffee bags), stand on your feet for 6 to 8 hours per day and be able to climb ladders and stairs. You must have a clean NY driver’s license. OSHA certification is a plus.
 
Key details of the role:
 
  • Hours – Sunday to Thursday 1pm – 9pm or as needed (40 hours per week with one hour for lunch)
  • $18-$20/hour commensurate with experience
  • 5 days Paid Time Off, which increases with tenure
