Bonjour! Atelier Ariana is looking for an enthusiastic barista to join our team.

We are a café and pâtisserie in Carroll Gardens specializing in artisanal, French-inspired pastries and specialty coffee. Our menus feature seasonal, unique recipes made in-house.

An ideal candidate will see the value in artisanal products and be eager to share them with current and future customers. Someone who is personable, adaptable, and works toward the goals of the team will be a valuable addition.

We are currently offering 20-30h/week, opening and closing shifts, with potentially more hours in the future. Currently, must be available to work Wednesday – Sunday.

REQUIREMENTS:
An ideal candidate must:
• Have customer service experience
• Be approachable and respectable to all customers (as well as staff)
• Possess specialty coffee knowledge and/or be able to expand on coffee preparation skills
• Be able to work on a team, as well as independently
• Be adaptable and flexible
• Eager to work for a small business and ready to tackle all tasks including: service, cleaning, dishwashing, and any other items that might come up
• Ready to join a hardworking team who works diligently to ensure customers have an exceptional experience and the entire team reaches their goals!

COMPENSATION: $17/hour + pooled tips (card tips currently ranging from $5-8/h, cash tips varies)

QUALIFICATIONS: Certificate in Food Protection (ideal)

REQUIRED YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 2 year
