CADET Coffee is hiring a part-time barista for about 20 hours per week, with room to grow into full-time in the coming months. We are a specialty multi-roaster café serving SEY, Tim Wendelboe, Tanat, Hydrangea, and rotating guests. We’re tucked inside a neighborhood bar, which means the work can be fun, dynamic, and a little chaotic at times. Definitely not a polished corporate setup. If that excites you more than it scares you, you’ll probably fit right in.

You’ll work solo for part of your shifts, so confidence, independence, and calm under pressure are key.

What You’ll Do:

• Make consistently excellent espresso, pour-overs, and milk-based drinks
• Provide warm, thoughtful, guest-forward service
• Keep the bar clean, organized, and running smoothly
• Adapt to a small, scrappy environment where things evolve quickly

Requirements:

• Specialty coffee experience
• Strong manual brewing skills
• NYC Food Handler’s Card
• Comfort working solo
• Availability during the last two weeks of December
• Reliability, communication skills, and a genuine love for great coffee

Pay:

• $20/hr + tips
