Part-Time Part Time Cafe Employee/Barista

Bonjour!
We’re looking for Cafe (front of house) employees (part-time) to be a part of our team at From Lucie in the East Village! The specific job roles will rotate between barista, register, or cake boxer.
Inspired by Lucie’s childhood on a farm in the South of France, this bakery will be a cozy place to pop by for a slice of cake (mostly seasonally inspired, but sometimes just a big chocolate slice), other baked goods, and a cup of tea or coffee. Cakes are decorated with dried fruits and nuts, organic flowers, and housemade jams, curds, and syrups. In addition to mini and sheet pan cakes, the bakery will bake, decorate, and prepare cakes for weddings, birthdays, and events. There is a lot of room for growth and learning as we will always have new projects and will rotate the menu seasonally. We want to foster an environment where both employees and customers are excited to walk through the doors.
We are hiring Cafe employees for From Lucie! We give importance to being a jack of all, but barista knowledge is a must and is the background we are especially looking for. You will be making coffee, teas, serving pastries to go and depending on the shift, you also be behind the register taking orders.

What’s gonna win you brownie points:
– Having a New York Food Handlers’ Certificate.
– Knowing Square POS.
– You have barista experience.
We start baristas at $16/hr plus tips and give performance based raises from there.
