Cashier: start $17/hour + extra tip pooling from shift. Totally average is $22-27/hour

Upstate Stock is looking for an cashier /Cafe&Store Assistant to work with us in the nice Williamsburg/Greenpoint neighborhood! opposite to the park and the gyms.

We are not just the coffee shop, but the fun store with the grocery, retail, and coffee. Upstate Stock is a dynamic and fast paced atmosphere with very high volume.

Qualifications:

– Proven ability to multitask and prioritize
– 1 year of prior relevant work experience
– Training and willingness to continue learning about coffee
– Customer service oriented/ Great Attitude! Good vibes
– Ability to handle high volume of both coffee and retails
– Maintain work area and equipment to a high degree of cleanliness
– Punctual and reliable
– Ability to walk, bend, stand for extended periods
– Keep the store clean, organized and stocked
– Willing to unload the shipment, make nice display for retail stuffs

Responsibilities:

– Greeting customers, informing them about menu items, answering questions, and accepting orders and payments
– Brewing coffee and serving hold/cold brew and pastries
– Maintain work area and equipment to a high degree of cleanliness
– Keep the store clean, organized and stocked
– Unload the shipments. Being creative is a plus!

Applicants must be able to handle high volume of both coffee and retail and willing to restock and display retail nicely.

Open shifts:
AM: Thursday, Friday, Saturday
PM: Wednesday, Friday, Saturday

AM shift starts: 7AM-12:30PM
PM shift starts: 12:30-6:30PM
