Founded in 2012 in the back of a Brooklyn barbershop, Parlor Coffee has evolved into the wholesale-focused company it is today. Our roastery and headquarters near Brooklyn’s Navy Yard hums along five days a week with production roasting, quality control analysis, coffee education and wholesale management all happening under one roof. Job Overview
Parlor Coffee is seeking a Production Coordinator to orchestrate the seamless success of coffee production and delivery for our wholesale and web order clients. As Production Coordinator, you will continuously develop and maintain relationships with our local and national wholesale customers as a means of remaining in constant contact with their coffee ordering and service needs. You will liaise orders between customers and the production team, and you will ensure the team’s success in fulfillment of orders. You will work within your role to support the ongoing service needs of all customers in collaboration with our Account Management team. We are seeking a candidate who is highly self-motivated, possesses excellent time management skills and is an extraordinary communicator.
Core Responsibilities
– Support principals, managers and production team with primary assistance on all matters related to production and order fulfillment.
– Maintain up to date knowledge of Parlor’s frequently changing offerings menu.
– Manage Parlor’s wholesale hotlines, including email and phone lines, ensuring prompt and effective customer support for both wholesale and retail customers.
– Oversee production supplies inventory for office and production on a weekly basis.
– Enter order data in roast order documents.
– Create packing slips and shipping labels daily for all product shipments.
– Ensure daily pick-ups are scheduled and completed via UPS, USPS and FedEx for both domestic and international customers.
– Oversee and coordinate with production team daily to ensure that all orders are packed on schedule. Directly assist with production as necessary.
– Send shipment tracking to wholesale and web store customers when applicable.
– Oversee sample distribution to local and national accounts.
– Assist in organizing and packing orders.
– Manage Parlor’s web store coffee subscriptions.
– Manage online ordering system and third party ordering portals. Effectively liaise with web developer as necessary.
– Create all invoices, with extremely diligent maintenance, in pursuit of 100% accuracy.
– Prepare packing slips and any additional items for local deliveries.
– Coordinate with Delivery Driver before, during and after delivery routes as necessary through appropriate channels.
– Maintain archives of signed delivery slips and incoming packing slips.
Qualifications
– An interest in engaging with and learning about the specialty coffee community.
– Ability to effectively multitask.
– An openness to constructive feedback.
– Valid drivers license and willingness to drive in the NYC metro area as needed.
– Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
– Must live in or be willing to relocate to the NYC metro area.
– Strong phone, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with a confident, concise, clear and compelling style.

– Strong computer skills including Google Documents, QuickBooks Online and previous CRM and ecommerce experience, preferred.
– Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferred.
Compensation
Hourly; Approx. 30 hours/week to start, M-F 10am – 4:30pm. Flexibility with schedule necessary.
$16/hour with opportunity for increase after 90 days.
