Job Description

Partners Coffee has been roasting in Williamsburg since 2012. We roast on a Probat P25 and we are looking for someone to join our roasting team. As part of our team, you will ensure the high quality and consistency of all roasted coffee while operating in an efficient and tidy manner.

We are looking for a like minded coffee lover, who has experience, likes to do the morning shift, has excellent sensorial skills and a willingness to learn, practice and talk coffee. Computer proficiency, cropster use, mechanical skills and time management are all required for this position. Having excellent coffee brewing skills a plus for working with the education teams and green coffee buyer.

Duties will include Production roasting to high quality standards using Cropster and Probat drum roasters. Warehouse workflow, organization, and cleanliness especially in the handling of green and roasted coffee. Occasional cupping of production roasts for quality control and evaluation of brewed coffee for quality control (working with the educators and our retail stores). Maintenance and cleaning of roasting machinery on a regular schedule. Receiving of bulk freight, including pallets of green coffee and other production materials and helping out where needed in the warehouse with other coffee professionals.

• Hearing and the ability to perceive mechanical sound cues
• Repetitive physical movements of the hands and wrists throughout the day
• Flexible schedule to compliment our production schedule, including weekends
• Demonstrable teamwork and problem-solving abilities
• Class D Drivers and stacker/forklift licenses preferred
