Job Description

Shared Roasting is hiring a full-time Roastery Assistant for our Clinton Hill and East Williamsburg Locations.

No coffee experience required, we will provide job-specific training pertaining to coffee roasting, barista training and customer service.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist with daily production: roasting, packing, fulfillment and QC.

Maintain a clean production floor and space throughout the day

Manage, troubleshoot and maintain production equipment

Stage and prep pallets, manage deliveries and pickups

REQUIREMENTS:

Able and willing to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly throughout the day

Have a no-task-is-too-small mentality

Good ability to follow and manage a schedule throughout the day

Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for safety

Desire to work in a small-team environment with many opportunities for career development

COMPENSATION:

Full-time, hourly employee

Starting base of $23 to $27 per-hour based on experience +Periodic performance-based bonuses

Shared Roasting, based in Brooklyn, provides coffee solutions for cafes, e-commerce businesses and wholesalers including coffee education, business advisory, roastery leasing, toll roasting, and private label coffee services.

Founded in November 2019, Shared currently supports over 175 coffee businesses across 12 states, and the team has educated and advised over 50 businesses on creating and operating their own in-house coffee roasting program.
