Abbotsford Road Coffee Specialists is a wholesale specialty coffee roaster based in Brooklyn. The Roasting Assistant6 will work closely with the Production Manager to ensure all coffee products are roasted within time frames and to our quality standards. This position will assist the Production team daily with packaging coffee and fulfilling orders.

Technical Skills Required
• Ability to lift heavy bags of green beans (40lbs to 60lbs)
• Strong coffee industry knowledge
• Ability to learn green bean origins, blends and customer requirements
• Training is provided by Abbotsford Road, this will include operation of 60kg IMF Roaster, process of roasting, quality assurance, cupping, roaster maintenance etc.

Responsibilities
• Roasting 3-4 days per week in accordance with the production schedule
• Packaging of coffee and ancillaries ready for distribution
• Assistance with general warehouse responsibilities, including but not limited to, organizing green been storage, keeping the warehouse clean by USDA/FDA standards.
