Job Description

Toby’s Estate Coffee is a specialty roaster located in Brooklyn.  We are currently looking for someone to join our sales team to sell coffee and to manage our existing wholesale customers.

You will need to have previous sales experience in coffee, or at least two years experience as either an educator, service tech and or roaster.  You must love coffee and be inspired and motivated to sell.  An understanding of coffee brew equipment is a bonus and an ability to present and profile coffees also very helpful.

You will be required to sell roasted coffee and brew equipment to cafes, restaurants, grocers and hotels, and have a good knowledge of the five boroughs.  You need to have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be confident to present proposals to potential clients.  You need to be friendly, organized and have a demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.  You will be required to follow and create leads.  You will be supported by a roasting, education, and service team.  You will be required to attend events and trade shows.

You must have a valid drivers license, be able to lift and carry coffee and equipment (up to 50lbs) and be interested in improving your coffee skills.

You will be paid a salary plus commissions for meeting and exceeding sales targets.  We reimburse all business expenses including transport, cell phone, coffee etc.  You will receive two weeks vacation and sick pay.  You will also have access to our health/dental.  We will negotiate salary for coffee professionals with over four years experience selling specialty coffee.
