Full-Time Sales Director

Job Description

The Sales Director is responsible for cultivating relationships with both new and existing wholesale partners. Additionally will be responsible for managing a team of Junior Sales Reps. and Account Managers.

We are looking to build a diverse base of accounts including cafes, restaurants, hotels, as well as grocery stores. This role requires exceptional organization, time management, and communication skills.

Leadership:
• Must be positive, thoughtful, and thorough, setting a positive example for the team
• Team-oriented and proactive attitude; ability to communicate and interact effectively with all departments including operations, roasting, service, and retail.
• Must be able to communicate professionally with accounts at the manager, executive, and ownership level.
• Must be solution-oriented, anticipate and proactively take charge of difficult situations finding solutions for clients in line with Variety’s resources.
• Must take ownership over an existing set of accounts, providing service in line with Variety’s values.

Coffee Sales:
• Utilizes email, calendar, and CRM tools to conduct daily business activities.
• Comfortable negotiating price and executing deals.
• Responsible for forecasting and targeting new business growth and development set forth in annual projections.
• Comfortable executing conference calls, giving presentations, and hosting tastings across all business channels.
• Maintains a flexible schedule allowing for occasional weekend and after-hours work, and participation in events.
• Has a strong specialty coffee knowledge base.

Qualifications
• 3-5 years of specialty coffee experience required.
• 2+ sales experience required.
• 2+ years management experience preferred.
• Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency. `
• Ability to build and cultivate relationships that benefit the brand.
• Takes initiative and follows-through on commitments to achieve optimal results.
• Organization, project management, and analytical skills.
• Experience with G-Suite, as well as Streak or other CRMs.
• Basic coffee equipment understanding, including programming and basic troubleshooting.
• Ability to work both independently and with a team.
• Comfortable making decisions with limited information and resources.
