NY Sales Executive Principal Duties and Responsibilities

The primary purpose of this role is to attract, manage and grow wholesale accounts through building collaborative relationships,  product knowledge and communication with the Service and Education teams.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of Devocion coffee products, coffee equipment products, and pricing structure;
  • Be able to communicate company mission and describe coffee products and equipment including differences in processing, roast profile, origins, etc.;
  • Execute promotional and incentive programs to support sales growth, in coherence with the marketing strategy;
  • Maintain and expand customer base by building and maintaining rapport with current customers and identifying new customer opportunities. Initial sales outreach to focus on foodservice accounts, coworking, and office spaces;
  • Make sales presentations to prospective customers;
  • Manage customer accounts including order coordination, collecting payments due, and distribution of marketing materials;
  • Help with the coordination of service and Education requests from current and new customers.
  • Provide regular informal and formal performance feedback
  • Maintain organized files and notes on all accounts.

 

Overall approach

  • This position requires great overall relationship skills.
  • This position will require lots of travel in NYC to visit current customers and potential leads.

 

Desired Skills & Qualifications

  • At least 1 years of customer service and/or direct sales experience, preferably in the food and beverage industry
  • Must be a self-starter committed to excellence and high standards and an ability to manage relationships
  • Must have a passion for coffee products
  • Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to compute, organize and present information to customers
  • Self-motivated, ability to take initiative to complete tasks

 

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary ranges between $36,000 and $51,000 depending on experience + eligibility for commissions/bonus if sales goals/strategic objectives are met
