Full-Time Sales & Marketing Director

Poursteady is a growing, Brooklyn-based manufacturer of commercial equipment for the specialty coffee industry. We are seeking an experienced coffee professional to lead our sales and marketing efforts. This person will contribute directly to our brand, our culture, and the growth of our company. The candidate filling this role will lead the transition from our current marketing activities to develop and implement a global B2B marketing strategy. This person will work closely with the executive team – and  really get to know our products and our customers. They will identify relevant markets and  segments, develop new leads, manage the sales process, and use data to evaluate and improve  the process.

Note that this is a technical sales and marketing position. The right candidate will be able to quickly understand the customers’ requirements, our technology, and demonstrate confidence when presenting our products to a range of audiences.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute on marketing strategies with specific budgets, timelines, and deliverables
  • Marketing research and implementation
  • Sales follow-ups and customer database management
  • Develop qualified lists of potential customers and distributors
  • Develop relationships with our distributors and bring in new leads
  • Plan and execute targeted digital and physical marketing campaigns – including trade publications, direct mail, web, SEO/SEM, email, social media, and display advertising
  • Maintain our social media presence across all digital channels
  • Measure and report on the performance of all digital marketing campaigns
  • Represent us at trade shows and other public-facing events

Who you are

  • Extremely competent
  • A quick study, able to understand and retain details
  • Able to see the big picture, while also able to spend the time it takes with a specific customer to make a sale and grow the relationship
  • Familiarity with commercial coffee equipment, has some general mechanical aptitude, and is comfortable explaining  the technical aspects of our products
  • Expert user of Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides)
  • Experience using and maintaining a complex CRM (HubSpot is a plus)
  • You enjoy problem solving and don’t get frustrated when answers/solutions are hard to come to
  • Have a positive attitude and willingness to take the time to fix problems, document the details, and brainstorm solutions
  • Have excellent communication skills and emotional intelligence, values tolerance, and expects the same from the people you work with
  • You work well on a team, and you’re also comfortable working and owning projects autonomously
  • Able to meet deadlines while juggling multiple priorities
  • You consider yourself to be an emotionally intelligent person and expect your coworkers to be the same
  • Lives in NYC and can commute to Sunset Park 
  • Likes coffee!

Working at Poursteady

  • This is a full-time position. Our hours are 10am-6pm Monday-Friday. 
  • Following a successful initial 30-day contract period, compensation to include salary, medical benefits, and options package.

Compensation

$75K-$100K annual salary based on experience. Bonus based on performance.  Employee stock options plan. Competitive benefits package including health insurance and 401K.
