Job Summary

Manage and operate TOMS Roasting Co. Coffee Cart on a daily basis with enthusiasm and exceptional customer service. TOMS Roasting Co., TOMS newest 1:1 will be having a fully-functional coffee cart operating out of STORY retail store starting April 15th.

Essential Functions

• Understand the TOMS One for One movement with the ability to convey our movement to our customers.
• Gain a strong understanding of TOM’s vision, mission and core values with an ability to utilize them on a daily basis.
• Work closely with store management to ensure smooth flow of overall business
• Work closely with management on cash and tip procedures as well as training the café staff when appropriate
• Take proactive steps to avoid overage and excessive ordering
• Work with management to create business driving events such as coffee and juice tastings
• Interface with café vendors ensuring timely delivery and flow of invoicing
• Maintain clear and organized records of orders and café needs
• Occasional driving for café goods as is necessary
• Brew coffee and make drinks per SCAA standards.
• Provide quality beverages consistently for all customers.
• Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.
• Maintain quality store operations.
• Provides cleaning tasks for all café, coffee and espresso equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized store along with cleaning, organizing and restocking merchandise.
• Maintain back stock and manage inventory.

Essential Skills

• Ability to demonstrate a courteous and helpful attitude.
• Familiar with a retail store environment and the necessary roles and responsibilities of a sales associate.
• Attains Personal time management and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Outgoing and creative.
• Self-starter.
• Familiar with espresso machines, coffee grinders and coffee brewing and roasting procedures.
• Ability to learn quickly and take direction.

Qualifications

• SCAA Cetified Level 1 Barista
• High School/Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ year work experience in barista or similar field.
• Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50lbs, climb a ladder, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Flexible schedule with the ability to work nights and weekends.
