Job Description

Taylor St All Day Cafe is located on 40th and Madison is a local favorite known for its laid back Australian style, serving quality coffee and food service.

You’ll be working with gravimetric Nuova Simonelli Black Eagles, EK43s, SP-9s and a team of passionate coffee and food folk.

The cafe is broken up into kitchen, front of house and barista, all working in unison to provide exceptional service to the business workers in the area but also tourists who are visiting the city.

Taylor St is currently looking for an experienced barista to fill the role of senior barista.

The cafe is open Monday-Friday, 7am until 6pm and is closed on weekends.

Responsibilities include:

Quality control including cupping, dialing in, latte art and supporting the growth and training of your fellow baristas
Placing coffee and other orders for barista area
Assisting other cafe sections with service
Monitoring ticket times and flow of service
Machine maintenance and technical support knowledge a bonus
Creating a friendly and enjoyable environment for both customers and coworkers

Skills required:

Min two years of barista experience
Experience in leading a team
Can handle high quantities of coffee orders per day
Must be able to multitask
Must have confident communication skills
Must have latte art skills and be able to dial in espresso and filter
Must be able to stand on their feet for 8-10 hours of the day
Must be available to work 35-40 hours a week M-F, open availability.
