Senior Barista Position

Taylor St Baristas located in Midtown is known for its quirky laid back Australian style, serving quality coffee and food service.
Taylor St Baristas is a two leveled cafe, with a lower main level for take away and a mezzanine area for dine in food and coffee. The cafe is broken up into kitchen, front of house and barista, all working in unison to provide exceptional service to the business workers in the area but also tourists who are visiting the city.

Taylor St Baristas is currently looking for an experienced barista to fill the role of senior barista with the potential opportunity of becoming head barista.

The cafe is open Monday-Friday, 7am until 6pm and is closed on weekends.

Responsibilities include:

Leading a team of three-four baristas
Placing coffee and other orders for barista area
Trouble-shooting problems
Monitoring quality control
Training new staff members
Assisting other cafe sections with service
Monitoring ticket times and flow of service
Creating a friendly and enjoyable environment for both customers and coworkers

Requirements include:

Min two years of barista experience
Experience in leading a team
Can handle high quantities of coffee orders per day
Must be able to multitask
Must have confident communication skills
Must have latte art skills and be able to dial in espresso and filter
Must be able to stand on their feet for 8-10 hours of the day
Must be available to work 40 hours a week in a full time position
