Devocion is hiring Senior Leader positions!

Exciting opportunity to be a part of a dedicated roaster-to-cup specialty coffee company with growth and advancement in our future.

The Senior Leader has robust experience in specialty coffee shops, is hospitality oriented and has developed leadership skills. Additionally, they are competent in COGs management and evaluating key performance indicators to reach specific goals.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
– Guarantee the coffee shop is operated with the highest level of hospitality, quality control and cleanliness standards.
– Devocion’s culture, values, mission, and code of ethics into training your team. Lead with the company’s values.
– Hospitality is always at the forefront. Guarantee that customer service is running in a friendly, relaxing demeanor, with courteousness, helpful and quick service at all times.
– Meet goals on key performance indicators for labor hours, transactions and sales growth, COGS, waste, and customer satisfaction.
– Responsible for inventory management including purchasing, proper invoice management, etc. Train all Leaders on the company software.
– Assist in recruiting and hiring baristas and leaders, working closely with the Regional Manager.
– Train, cultivate and oversee new staff in all areas and procedures of the cafe.
– Oversee and maintain quality control of beverages and food production.
– Administer written Bar Test and the Bar Evaluation for new baristas in accordance with Devoción’s Education Department standards.

REQUIREMENTS
– Must have at least 4 years of hospitality experience
– Natural leadership skills, kindness, and strong work ethic
– Ability to work full time, including morning, evenings and weekends
– Strong multi-tasking skills, ability to adapt quickly to daily challenges
– Be able to direct and motivate a diverse group of staff members
– Ability to provide coverage on off days for absent baristas as needed
– NYC Food Handlers Certification holder

Full time. Benefits. Paid time off.
$21/hour, plus tips (our leaders average $33-$35/hour with tips).
Quarterly bonus structure in addition to salary.
