Part-Time Service Technician

Job Description

Status: Field/On-Site, Part-Time, 10-15 hours/week

Pay: Competitive Pay willing to negotiate

The Service Technician at Vera Coffee Solutions will be responsible for repairing and maintaining our clients’ coffee equipment. This includes diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and performing preventative maintenance. The Service Technician will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of service calls and parts used.In the first 30 days, the technician will be expected to complete at least two training modules on our company’s equipment and processes.

Key responsibilities:

Repair and maintain commercial coffee equipment including espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment
Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment
Maintain accurate records of service calls and parts used
Communicate with customers and service manager to ensure satisfaction

30 Day Goals:

Acclimate yourself to the equipment from manufacturers that make up our core business; La Marzocco, Eversys, Gruppo Cimbali, Pentair, Mahlkonig, Mazzer, Slayer. Conceptually understand the following:

Hydraulic Systems
Electrical Systems
Water Filtration
AC vs DC power
Troubleshooting and common failures
Individual Components; elements, solenoids, flowmeter, pressure stats, check valves, flow restrictors, etc
Plumbing Nomenclature; compression vs flare fitting, NPT, BPT, push to connect fitting
