Requirements
● Must have at least 2 years of hospitality experience
● Must obtain a valid NYC food handlers card
● Team player in group environment

● Ability to work full time (32+ hours weekly), with availability morning, evenings and
weekends
● Strong multi-tasking skills, ability to adapt quickly to daily challenges
● Be able to direct and motivate a diverse group of staff members
● Ability to provide coverage on off days for absent baristas as needed
● Able to work as early as 6:00am
● Seeing and hearing audible cues
● Standing on your feet for 6-8 hours

Coffee Knowledge
● Partners Coffee brewing specs – keeping spec cards updated
● Partners Coffee’s current coffee offerings – lead in choosing what to put on alternative
drip and espresso
● Dialing and tasting coffees during shift – lead in making grind adjustments if needed
● Quality Control of drinks – withholding drink construction according to Partners
standards. (Batch brew freshness, correct milk temperatures etc)
● Attend cuppings, and encouraged to express interest in any future trainings
● Inspire and work with baristas to make better coffee
Responsibilities
● Opening and closing
● Key and alarm code holder
● Accurately process transaction using point of sale
● Handling of cash (register) Handling of invoices (signing/putting invoices away) including
inventory
● Handling of cash tips (distributing tips fairly for staff)
● Problem solving when the manager is not around, understand IT and music (ex. Printer
& IPad)
● Leadership skills (able to be a team leader and make decisions on the fly when manager
is not available) including proactive last minute orders when required.
● Handling of Doordash inventory
● Starting/Sending the Daily Shift Report. Opening shift leads should start the Daily Shift
Report and save as a draft. Closing shift leads will send this email after including other
notes.
Maintenance – Keep cafe clean and organized, including bar/work stations, seating
area, and restroom. Follow health, safety and sanitized guidelines.
– Deep cleaning Fetco pots three days a week – perform routine maintenance of and
cleaning of equipment
– Cleaning static flap on grinder twice a week
– Understand NYC DOH guidelines and procedures (maintaining a clean and safe cafe)
– Deep cleaning of drains
– Removing trash at a timely manner off the cafe floor
– Restocking of restroom
– Watering of plants indoor & outdoor
– Spraying sidewalk down with hose
– Sweeping and mopping of indoor and outdoor seating and high traffic areas
Inventory / Restock – Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies, and communicate with
managers about inventory needs
– Restocking of goods – retail coffee, bulk coffee, merchandise, milks
– FIFO Milks
– Putting away deliverable good – such as cold brew, paper goods, merchandise
– Inventory updates – keeping up with inventory counts weekly. Stock numbers should be
updated on Square POS including retail beans, merchandise, POS snacks and RTD
drinks.
