At Partners Coffee we are dedicated to roasting quality coffee and serving our customers to the highest standard. Our ideal is someone who’s passionate about coffee and hospitality and likes a busy cafe. A great coffee experience is our desire for every guest.

We are looking for a Shift Lead to join our team who has excellent customer service, a strong interest in coffee, and has a willingness to learn and improve with our education and training. You must have your food handlers and pass our training modules to be a Shift Lead.

Full Time is 30+ hours, we run a mix of 6 and 8 hour shifts. All staff need to be available one day on the weekend. We are looking for team members who are available at a minimum Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Our hours of operation are 7am to 6:30pm with shifts between 6:30am-7pm.

The rate is dependent upon experience and ranges between $18-18.50/hr. This role also earns tips which range between $6-10/hr.

Responsibilities:

Opening and closing key holder duties.
Cash handling.
Leading shifts through delegation and deployment of team members.
Model calm under pressure and resolve issues swiftly.

We’re looking for someone who:

Sets the tone for hospitality, pace, and cleanliness each shift.
Communicates clearly with staff and management.
Keep the team grounded in kindness, quality, and professionalism.

Requirements:

The ability to work on your feet for 8+ hours.
Lift up to 30lbs.
Climb stairs and ladders.
Hear audible cues and taste coffee.
You will be engaged in repetitive physical movements of the hands and wrists throughout the day.
Have NYC Food Handler.
