Experienced Assistant General Manager

East One Coffee Roasters is hiring! Join our coffee-forward group in this exciting role as AGM at our growing flagship location in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. Extremely competitive salary and vacation package with insurance options available.

Coffee and Food Service experience required:

You:

• Have robust and innate coffee management experience – at least 2 years in progressively responsible positions.
• Have robust and innate food service or restaurant experience. We have a full service restaurant and bar as well and you will liaise and work closely with our Operations Manager and Executive Chef on running it.
• Are eager for the challenge of running a high-volume, fast paced and intentional coffee program with an amazing food service and liquor program that will also fall within your purview – and are interested in growing it.
• Must have strong knowledge of the specialty coffee industry and skill sets that support it, for example excelled standards in coffee making and palate development as well as customer service and speed.
• A strong desire to create and follow up on processes and procedures to ensure the superb running of an East One shop.
• Have an in depth knowledge of New York City DOH standards and unwavering dedication to ensuring the successful annual A Grade we must always have.
• Desire to grow into the responsibility of ‘running the show’ from driving profitability to staff hiring, development and training to choosing the playlist.
• Are dedicated, unflappable, assertive and accountable.

• Employ a highly skilled barista staff that needs clear direction to be successful.

The position:
