Who are we?

Gimme! Coffee is a specialty coffee roaster/retailer founded in 2000, with locations in NYC and Ithaca, NY.  We bring great coffee to our community, using practices that are sustainable through every step of the supply chain from farmer to customer. From the beginning, Gimme! Coffee has been a leader in the evolution of the third wave and the specialty coffee industry.  We are passionate about quality at every step of the supply chain and we’re constantly keeping our eyes on the horizon.

You are responsible, organized, and willing to take responsibility for results.  You can juggle multiple priorities and optimize your espresso bar’s operations, staffing, customer satisfaction, coffee quality, financial performance, and team development.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to manage store operations independently
• Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
• Ability to act with a “customer comes first” attitude and consistently deliver and model service that meets or exceeds customer expectations
• Outstanding interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to effectively communicate clearly and concisely, speaking and writing
• Ability to lead, motivate, direct, and evaluate multiple employees
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and team-building skills
• Knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures
• Strong knowledge of the specialty coffee industry

Qualifications

• Strong barista experience in a specialty coffee environment
• 3 years progressively responsible retail, hospitality or restaurant industry experience, including 2 years of supervisory experience
• New York City Food Handler’s Certificate
