The Company

PROOF Coffee Roasters, an NYC-based family-and-employee-owned cafe company is seeking a highly experienced Store Supervisor Barista to become a foundational part of the next phase of our company growth.

The Position.

At baseline, this position is full-time; however, your schedule has tremendous leeway to be as flexible or as consistent/regimented as you prefer, so as to build your work hours around your desired work-life balance – as long as you are effectively accomplishing all of your objectives, goals, and metrics.

Some main objectives include:

Supervision and management of current and future cafe staff, with discretion on hiring
Supporting staff to achieve store targets and metrics
Leading by example in terms of work ethic, customer service focus, and hospitality
Ordering and inventory management
Analysis and optimization of store metrics such as COGS, labor, waste, sales goals, revenue targets, profitability targets, etc.
Some higher-level objectives include:

Maintaining a culture of respect and policy adherence, leading by example, and cultivating staff buy-in to all company procedures, policies, and processes
Consistently identifying areas of potential improvement within your store, and exploring and effectuating solutions with staff to bring things into alignment
Development of customer service and hospitality initiatives to continue to elevate the experience of our loyal customers as well as engaging the community at large
Creatively helping to craft, implement, and optimize various company processes and protocol.
