Job Description

White Noise Coffee Co. is hiring an experienced specialty coffee barista to join our team.

We’re an independent coffee company with cafés in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan, and Boreum Hill, Downtown Brooklyn. Coffee is at the center of what we do, alongside a strong focus on food, design, and community.

We’re looking for someone who knows their way around an espresso bar and cares about the whole café experience—from a well-made drink to the way a guest feels walking through our doors. Someone who notices the details, takes initiative, and feels proud of the business they represent.

What you’ll do

• Dial in espresso and prepare consistently excellent coffee and other beverages.
• Provide warm, attentive service and build relationships with regulars.
• Learn our coffees, malcha, and menu so you can confidently guide customers.
• Keep the bar clean, organized, stocked, and ready for service.
• Work closely with the team to keep service running smoothly.
• Uphold our standards for drink presentation, product quality, and hospitality.

Who we’re looking for

• Previous barista experience in a specialty coffee setting.
• Confidence with espresso dialing, milk steaming, and latte art.
• The ability to maintain quality and communicate clearly during busy service.
• Reliability, initiative, and respect for teammates.
• Curiosity about our products and enthusiasm for contributing to a growing independent business.

As White Noise grows through our cafés, events, and collaborations, we’re excited to meet people who want to contribute ideas, develop their skills, and grow with us.

Compensation: $22 per hour, plus tips.
Schedule: Full-time/part-time; one weekend is a must.
Location: Manhattan/Brooklyn/both
