We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Sales Representative that will manage and foster new wholesale relationships as well as participate in education and quality control for our current clients.  The role is to provide a full service solution for clients towards preparing excellent coffee with a commitment to their education and training needs, and working on their behalf to provide the best experience possible.  This will be a full time weekday position with availability for trades shows and coffee events, as well as travel for accounts outside of New York City.

Responsibilities to include:

• Develop and execute strategies to promote department growth, retention and profitability
• Prioritize work tasks and manage time effectively
• Seek out new Accounts and Clients.
• Maintain existing Accounts, Receive Orders, place orders with roastery Staff
• Day to day sales and account visits Maintain a priority based schedule for meeting with prospective customers
• Accountable for targeted quarterly and yearly sales goals
• Manage and fulfill key account needs
• Develop a firm understanding of products and services offered and demonstrate this understanding in the sales process
• Weekly recap of account visits and call frequency
• General enthusiasm for selling our coffee
• Effectively manage new prospect meetings and appointments
• Demonstrate ability to prescreen and select wholesale customers
• Sell and manage & maintain espresso equipment with wholesale customers thisincludes but isn’t limited to, PM’s (Baskets, screens & gaskets), FilterReplacement, Grinder burr replacement, Coffee Brewer programing, basic trouble shooting knowledge of machines, and mechanics.
• Hold regular coffee tastings, including cuppings and drip tastings
• Ensure coffee quality among accounts through hands-on bar skills and coffee knowledge
• And other various tasks.

A background in specialty coffee sales or food and wine sales is preferred.  As the job will have a quality control lean; the ability to taste, train, and educate is essential as well as a thorough knowledge of technical setups to communicate with our tech team to solve problems.

This position is a base salary plus commission structure with benefits and vacation.  We are serious about providing the best coffee possible, but also like to keep the job fun.
