Job Description

Parlor Coffee is the sum of its parts: a small team dedicated to raising the bar of coffee culture in New York City and across the country by sourcing, roasting and delivering the finest coffees for wholesale partners from coast to coast. Parlor seeks a diligent, enterprising Account Manager who will reinforce our ability to provide the best possible support experience for each of our unique wholesale accounts.

As Account Manager, you are first and foremost an ambassador of Parlor Coffee and an embodiment of our mission. You are responsible for supporting existing partnerships with cafés, restaurants, hotels and markets. You will work with our Director of Sales and Lead Educator to properly and efficiently onboard new partners. Of note, you are responsible for anticipating our partners’ needs in the field while promoting Parlor Coffee’s interests as our most visible representative.

Core Responsibilities

  • Focus on customer relationships, constantly communicating in a positive and supportive manner
  • Maintain best practices across each account to ensure their long-term sustainability
  • Provide thorough and extensive knowledge of Parlor’s seasonal offerings menu as well as all supporting services
  • Resolve account issues by providing constructive solutions in a timely fashion
  • Support quality control in the field with all of Parlor’s NYC accounts
  • Assist with sales and education related activities as needed, including cuppings and tastings
  • Manage account information on an ongoing basis via CRM software and Google Apps
  • Report weekly to Director of Sales

Qualifications

  • Proficient barista skills
  • Displayed passion and enthusiasm for coffee
  • Ability to remain highly organized
  • Willingness to travel as needed
  • Minimum of one year in a management position, or equivalent, in the specialty coffee industry preferred
  • Must reside in, or be willing to move to, New York City
  • Must remain flexible with availability and work schedule
  • Must communicate promptly, effectively and respectfully with all accounts and members of the Parlor team

This is a salaried, full-time position. Pay is commensurate with experience. Two weeks of paid vacation awarded after six months of employment.
