Job Description: 

The Account Manager is responsible for creating and maintaining positive relationships with our hospitality coffee partners. The primary focus of the role is to be a hands-on educator, problem solver, and general consultant on all things coffee-related. With a diverse set of clients including luxury hotels, Michelin starred restaurants, trendy cafes, and high-end offices, our hospitality team aims to create a best-in-class coffee experience in every setting. This role requires composure, emotional intelligence, and a professional demeanor in a fast-paced, demanding environment.

Essential Functions:

Conduct in-depth espresso, filtered coffee, pour-over, and cold brew training in lab or on-site at the client’s business.

Assist in the on-boarding of new clients creating a positive experience during preliminary interactions.

Program and dial-in coffee equipment in line with La Colombe’s recipes

Conduct routine visits of 15 – 20 clients weekly ensuring La Colombe quality standards are met.

Maintain daily logs of client visits in CRM system, providing information on updated contacts, product quality, customer interactions, and equipment issues.

Respond to client inquiries and internal requests by identifying client concerns, researching issues, working with appropriate departments to develop a resolution, and communicating action plan to client and appropriate personnel in a timely manner.

Troubleshoot equipment issues, liasoning between La Colombe’s technical team and client to ensure timely and effective servicing of coffee equipment.

Provide light preventative maintenance on coffee equipment i.e. changing screens, gaskets, etc.

Actively work to become the first point of contact for all needs.

Retain assigned client list through attentive, professional, and comprehensive service.

Grow business of assigned client list through introduction of new products, improvements in quality, and marketing efforts.

Build strong working relationships and effectively communicate with Sales, Client Services, Tech Services, and Production

Night and weekend work may be required occasionally for events, travel, and client emergency.

 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required

Minimum 2-3 years of hospitality experience in hotels, restaurants, or cafes is preferred.

Account manager experience focused on building strong relationships with existing clients to ensure retention as well as driving new business by identifying up-sell and cross-sell opportunities preferred.

Specialty coffee industry experience and in-market experience are highly preferred.

Strong negotiation skills and creative ability to create “win-win” outcomes

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

Highly organized with strong attention to detail

Experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Pages.

Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
