Part Time Wholesale Delivery Driver

Variety Coffee Roasters is a New York specialty coffee company founded in 2008 as a single cafe, and today roasting and serving our coffee at 8 of our own shops across Brooklyn and Manhattan, as well with over 100 dynamic wholesale partners. The Wholesale Delivery Driver is a part of the team responsible for the production and timely, accurate delivery of all products that Variety Coffee Roasters sells. The delivery driver will work with our Warehouse Manager and production team to ensure systems of quality control are maintained for accurate and on-time deliveries to wholesale customers in Brooklyn, Manhattana and Queens. They will pack their van for delivery, plan driving routes, and navigate parking and hand-delivery of Variety’s products 3 days a week. They may occasionally cover other production duties including bagging, boxing, picking orders, packaging for mail order, as well as brewing, bottling and kegging cold brew. The delivery driver will also help to maintain the overall cleanliness of delivery vehicles.

Key to this role is the an attention to detail in route planning and delivery accuracy, as well as clear communication with Variety’s HQ when variables arise. This is a part-time, hourly position reporting to the Warehouse Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:
– Valid New York Driver’s license and clean driving record
– 1+ years experience with professional delivery
– Must be able lift 50+lbs regularly
– Ability to work 8 hours a day behind the wheel

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
– Hourly rate of $23/hr with a time-based raise structure
– 6 paid holidays + 40 hours of PTO after one year of employment
– Medical, vision and dental care coverage are offered beginning one month from hire
with an employer contribution of 50%
