Overall: This position reports to the Owners and works directly in collaboration with the production and roasting team. Manages and coordinates with existing wholesale clients, as well as develops new relationships with potential wholesale clients. This position’s scope includes all things surrounding coffee sales, ranging from managing inventory to supporting a diverse group of businesses,’ including restaurants, specialty cafes, hotels, bakeries, specialty grocery, food service operators, office spaces, and third-party resale sites, as well as supporting the roasting / production team in execution of delivering these.

Key Responsibilities:

Wholesale Prospecting and Onboarding
o Creating and negotiating contracts
Wholesale portal onboarding and account set up
o Identifying potential wholesale clients, including following up on new leads and reaching out directly to potential clients that would fit well with Bean & bean’s mission, values and coffee program
o Hosting tastings and shipping out samples
o Creating wholesale marketing and support collateral

Wholesale Customer Support:
o Deliver training support as needed
o Help with the sourcing of equipment as needed
o Support with coffee ordering and menu offerings
o Consistent check Ins with clients in person or via the phone as needed

3rd Party Seller Support:
o Manage ordering, sales and collateral for third party online resellers such as subscription service websites and Amazon

Wholesale Production Support:
o Help to manage shipments, ordering and coffee production
o Support for inventory tracking and coffee projections
o Managing and reporting out on KPI’s surrounding coffee sales

We are Looking For a Person With:
-A love and knowledge of specialty coffee
Experience in sales
-A sense of ownership and the ability to work independently on agreed upon goals.
-An appreciation for giving and receiving constructive feedback.
-The ability to structure and prioritize workdays in accordance with the overall goals and strategy.
-Strong communication skills in written and spoken English.
-Great interpersonal skills, a customer-focused attitude and the ability to communicate with empathy.
-Willingness to travel locally within the NYC region
