Job Description
Irving Farm was founded in 1996 as a small cafe in Gramercy focused on serving the neighborhood a great cup of coffee. As our retail business grew, we found a market for our coffee in our colleagues in the NYC food and restaurant industry. Over the years we have built many successful local partnerships with some of the best cafes and restaurants in the region and enjoyed steady growth. Our expertise at operating high volume, fast-paced cafes has given us tremendous insight that we share with our wholesale partners. We focus on best in the business practices and guide our customers to success from equipment selection and bar layouts to ongoing training and technical support.
Like many of our colleagues in the specialty coffee industry, we focus on building meaningful and lasting relationships with our grower partners around the world. Through our long term approach to partnerships we are able to trust the grower expertise at origin to supply exceptional fresh crop coffees all year round in a sustainable manner for everyone involved.
We’ve been hard at work refining the core of our business and focusing on managing our company well. Our green buying, roasting and customer support programs have never been better. We are looking for the right person to help us bring our expertise to an even broader range of customers in the US. The right person for this role will be someone with industry sales experience, who has connections and loves the sales process from start to finish.
Position Summary:
Expand our wholesale market share with successful partnerships by creating a winning regional and national sales strategy that generates meaningful leads and drives profitable deals.
Role and Responsibilities:
Manage incoming leads
Create regional and national sales strategy
Generate new leads to convert to close
Thoughtfully recommend products to coffee team
Manage department growth including:
-strategic recommendations on dept structure
-hiring and training
-managing employees
Collaborate with marketing team to create successful sales tools and wholesale
marketing campaign
Reports to CEO
Outcomes:
Short term and long term sales strategy that
-maintains profitability
-increases wholesale revenue
-expands regional and national market share
